If you don't have the resources to spend on expensive technology to give you the information you want, consider a low-tech or even no-tech solution. With a little trigonemtry and some time spent compiling the information, we have created a table that would support your low-tech solution for your performance information needs.

 

The PDF file contains a table and a little information about how we envisioned it being used. Essentially, if you have some vinyl banners laying around, you can use our table to create launch angle targets in your batting cage. This will give players instant feedback on their in-cage performance without any technology needed. If you have some basic technology to couple with it, you could do some calculations that would give you similar information to what more sophisticated, high-technology systems give you.

 

Even if you already utilize technology in your facility, this might make a great addition to an outdoor cage or cage where your high-tech system isn't installed. If you don't have any banners to cut and hang, you can order them from a variety of places online in custom sizes. 

 

You could put custom banners up every five degrees from fifteen to thirty-five, and still be under $100. If launch angle feedback is something you are looking for, that is a pretty good value.
